About brake grease

Brakes are one of the most important safety devices in a vehicle. The role and importance of brake grease as an essential part of brake care and maintenance cannot be ignored.

Features of brake grease

1. High-temperature resistance. Brakes generate friction and high temperatures during operation, and the high-temperature resistance of a brake grease determines its ability to withstand the high temperatures of the brake, avoiding lubricant failure due to high temperatures. 2. Antioxidant properties. Brake lube exposed to high temperatures for a long time is prone to oxidation and formation of deposits, reducing lubricant life. Therefore, a lubricant with strong oxidation resistance can extend the service life of the lubricant. 3. Shear resistance. When the brake is moving at high speed, the lubricant needs to keep the viscosity stable to ensure the normal operation of the brake. A lubricant with high shear resistance can resist the shear force at high speeds and maintain stable viscosity. 4. Low volatility. Brake lubricants may be affected by high temperatures and friction when the brake is in operation, and low-volatility lubricants can minimize lubricant volatility loss and reduce lubricant consumption. 5. Sealability. Brake lubricants also provide sealing protection for the brake system, preventing dust, moisture, and other substances from entering the inside of the brake, thus reducing the brake failure rate.

In addition to brakes, calipers and brake pads are also core components in the braking system, and their proper functioning is the key to ensuring the braking effect of the vehicle. Brakes slow and stop by applying friction, while calipers serve to clamp and release the brake pads. To ensure that brakes and calipers operate well, they need to be treated with specialized lubricants. Brake and caliper grease provide adequate lubrication at high temperatures and high speeds of motion, reducing brake friction and preserving braking performance. Brake pad grease is a lubricant applied to the surface of brake pads. The main function of brake pad lubricant is to reduce the coefficient of friction between the brake pads and the brake discs, reduce brake noise, and at the same time, reduce the wear and burning of the brake pads.

Applicable scenarios of brake grease

Brake caliper grease has a wide range of applications for all kinds of vehicles and braking systems, as well as for use in different climatic conditions. Users should pay attention to the following when selecting brake lubricants: 1. follow the manufacturer's recommendations to select the appropriate brake lubricant for the vehicle; 2. check the quality and quantity of the brake lubricant regularly to see if it meets the requirements; and 3. change the brake lubricant regularly according to the usage conditions to ensure that the lubrication effect is long-lasting and effective.
